IHS starts with a tear down and inspection of cylinders. During this assessment we will determine if a replacement is more cost-effective than a repair, and will contact you with the results. IHS inspects all sealing surfaces, the rod, barrel interior and exterior, mountaing connections, and ports. We do more than just replace the seals; we take care of the entire cylinder. We expect the cylinder to last an additional 75% of its original life. Our warranty is for 2 years, but the repair should last much longer on most equipment. Our attention to detail allows us to expect this extended life span. Many of our customers have repacked cylinders themselves. Normally the cylinders they have packed are leaking again in one to two years. Our repacks may last 8 to 10 years. Having a professional repair saves a lot in the long run.
